Becoming a scuba diver is the first step in a journey that will forever change how you see the world. This course gives you the opportunity to explore Earth’s final frontier: The ocean.

While the experience of weightlessness in space is reserved for a few astronauts, as a certified diver, you’ll feel the same sensation underwater. You’ll discover vibrant coral reefs, interact with fascinating marine life, and explore shipwrecks and underwater ecosystems hidden beneath the surface.

Become a certified diver in 3 days !

Start your scuba adventure with our SSI Open Water Diver Course! In just 3 days you’ll be certified to dive up to 18m. The program combines self-paced e-learning theory, a pool training session, and four ocean dives. You’ll learn essential skills to breathe and move safely underwater, guided by expert instructors and modern gear. This course opens the door to Vietnam’s vibrant underwater world (over 70% of our planet!) and allows you to discover coral reefs, tropical fish, and thrilling dive sites.

The SSI Open Water Diver Course is structured in three key parts, making it beginner-friendly and easy to follow:

Theory Session (E-learning)

Study at your own pace with online learning materials and videos, available in multiple languages. You'll learn the basics of scuba diving, safety rules, equipment use, and underwater communication.

Confined Water Session (Pool Training – 4 Hours)

Practice your diving skills in a safe, shallow pool environment. Learn how to handle your gear, clear your mask, and manage buoyancy — all under professional supervision.

4 Open Water Dives

Take everything you’ve learned and apply it in the ocean! You’ll complete four exciting open water dives in Nha Trang or Phu Quoc Island, depending on the diving season.

By the end of these sessions, you’ll be certified to dive up to 18 meters anywhere in the world.

Course Requirements

Swim 200 meters without any swim or buoyancy aids, or swim 300 meters using a mask, snorkel and fins.
There is no timelimit for this exercise, but it must be completed without stopping or standing.
Float or tread in water too deep to stand for ten (10) minutes.

If you are not confident with your swimming skills or in water, we recommend you a snorkel course, which provides a basic introduction to the common equipment and skill needed to snorkel safely - here

Minimum Age : 10 years old (*)
(*) Student younger than 15 years old will be certified as a Junior Open Water Diver and must dive under the direct supervision of a professional or with certified adult in environments equivalent to their training and within the recommended depth limits.
